Since 1987, Project C.U.R.E. has been delivering life-saving medical supplies to hospitals and clinics throughout the under-resourced world. We are the world’s largest distributor of donated medical relief – touching the lives of children and families in more than 130 countries.

This year, National Health Care Supply Chain Week is October 4-10, 2020 with the theme: Health Care Supply Chain Heroes.
With the outbreak of COVID-19, the health care supply chain was called upon more than ever to source the personal protective equipment and supplies needed to armor those on the front lines of patient care battling the pandemic. Health care professionals are the unsung heroes behind the scrubs, tirelessly fighting the coronavirus alongside physicians, nurses, service line leaders and other health care workers.
In recognition of the hard work and dedication of supply chain professionals who support every area of health care organization, not just during the public health crisis but every day, the AHRMM proudly celebrates SC Week.

All of us at the Chicago Chapter of AHRMM are mourning the loss of a great friend, Michael. Michael was currently the Director of Supply Chain at Methodist Hospitals. His professional history included facilities such as Presence Health and West Suburban Medical Center.
Michael D. Sporn age 59 of Des Plaines passed away November 23, 2018. Beloved husband of Cynthia ‘Cindy’ (nee Pelinski) for 30 years. Loving father of Joseph (fiancee Danielle Hepko) and Patrick (fiancee Erica Szaflarski). Fond brother of Susan Dodd, Gail Koske-Phillips, and Rider (Glen Rosen) Sporn. preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Barbara Sporn. Michael will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and canine friends. In life Michael was an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox, he spent countless hours with family and friends at the ballpark watching his favorite team. In lieu of flowers donations to Humane Society humanesociety.org or any local animal shelter. Visitation Friday, November 30, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. at G.L. AHRMM is committed to engaging and supporting the next generation of healthcare supply chain leaders as early as possible to stem the tide of retirement and attrition and create a competent and sustainable workforce. Cultivating the new generation requires laying the groundwork to prepare the association and develop adequate programs and services that will help those newer to supply chain succeed at their profession.
To facilitate development of the most thorough and inclusive program possible, we want to hear from as many young professionals as possible. The survey will take approximately 5-7 minutes to complete (depending on the time taken to analyze each response).
